He broke her heart. Now, it's time for him to pay...
Pax Burnson has been in love with Thorn Kalgren since she was fourteen. Long before he became the CEO of one of the world's largest tech companies, and an arrogant jerk. Their families have always been close due to their shared secret; both Pax and Thorn are descended from devas, powerful demigods with vast supernatural abilities. Years ago, when Pax lost her mother, Thorn became her everything. She depended on him as her friend, mentor, and eventually her lover. His recent betrayal was more than she could bear.
Pax has spent a lifetime concealing her goddess heritage, and trying to be normal. She has vowed not to practice her powers, but her newfound anger at Thorn has released a violence that she cannot restrain. She turns to her best friend for help with a complex plan to deceive and destroy her former lover--but this is challenging since her best friend happens to be Thorn's own sister. As it turns out, Amara Kalgren has her own reasons to crave vengeance.
The friendship and loyalty between the two girls becomes fortified as they venture down a dark and twisted path, discovering ancient magick and terrifying demons, and struggling against the consuming lust and love for the men who have hurt them. Pax and Amara soon find that they've bitten off more than they can chew...
But there's no turning back now.

    Nadia did it again!

You won't be disappointed! Although I am waiting for another Mermaid novel. For some reason this book was harder to get deep into right away. However I think it was what was happening on my home ftont. I started reading novels when I was 12. Ellery Queen, etc....When my Mother finished I would grab them. I am almost 60 now and have read all types of books. For the pasr 9-10 years I have almost exclusively read sci-fi & fantasy. I am so thrilled with Nadia she writes characters with depth and flaws. These are characters we can relate to & love & want to choke out at the same time. I have always loved books that have strong female lead characters. I will read everything she has available on my nook and then do some research to make sure I haven't missed anything. Keep writing Nadia. I will keep buying them. I will spread the word. Thank you for a job well done!

    Hotter than Sacred Breath series!

There's no way I could possibly do this novel justice. Fire is an accurate element to be associated with this book. The girls have gone through so much that they have to deal with the raw emotion of it all and they can be angry, vengeful, and seductive. The action is quite consistent; and like Drowning Mermaids there's a lot of secrets sure to cause drama down the road.

As with her other novels (the Sacred Breath series), the author is sublime at articulating relate-able feelings underneath all of the energy, telekinesis, spells, all of that. The author does not hold back the betrayal fury -- and I love that! Too often reactions to betrayal are helplessness, it's nice to have some anger. I really enjoyed the relate-ability of the relationships. You have the relationship between the girls, the relationship between the guys, and the familial relationship between them all that each have their own redeeming and not-so redeeming qualities that underlay every action.

Whenever the girls merge, you're on the edge of your seat waiting to find out what they're going to do in this thirty minutes and if they will get out of there in time! As always, the author paints out vivid scenes that immerse you for hours.

I became a fan of Nadia Scrieva after reading the Sacred Breath

I became a fan of Nadia Scrieva after reading the Sacred Breath series. So, I was really looking forward to reading this book. Once again I am blown away by Scrieva’s creative brilliance of character development and visionary storytelling.

This book is powerful in its elements and has a little something for everyone: Drama, emotion, love, lust, anger, fantasy, romance and revenge! Scrieva creates very strong and very well refined characters and you get a good vision of who they are as well as their personalities. The story keeps you engaged and entranced as the plot unfolds.

Something else I really liked about the story is that it was completely unpredictable and always kept you guessing. It is a wild literary ride! The book ends on as a cliff hanger that leaves you hungry for the sequel.

Great characters and non-stop excitement! Having the powers of demigods takes getting revenge to a whole new level in this story, with legendary fights that are out of this world. It starts off a bit slow but then really picks up after a couple of chapters, and all the way through you're kept on edge trying to guess what will happen next. Amara and Pax are enjoyable characters as lifelong besties out for revenge on the men who jilted them. Pax's supernatural abilities are beyond cool as well. The sexual aspects of this may go beyond some people's comfort zones but I thought it perfectly suited the story without ever being gratuitous. The richly descriptive writing delivered a fantastic world for the characters and the plot itself was awesome. Can't wait to read the next in the series!

    "impressive Read"
An impressive book with a decent plot, strong background and organization. I enjoyed reading this book till the end, the story is so engaging. It just left me speechless through its romance and vivid plots.

Paramount is a lovely creation by Nadia Scrieva. So many twists are there in the story! I was so excited while reading through its suspense. Such a nice fantasy romance book which ended on a cliffhanger, wanna read the next verse sooner.

    Really Good Read

I had mixed feelings with this book. I read the reviews before I read it, and yes, this book is creepy at times when you logically think about certain situations, but it more so just had some wierd elements. At times I couldn't wait to see what would happen next, and at others, mostly one of those wierd situations that I just don't agree with / can't really get into, I wanted to stop reading. But I continued and finished it. And it was amazing. I can't wait to see what happens next. The two leading ladies in this book are on a jpurney that has so many hardships and mistakes that it almost breaks your heart. And the story line has so much going on, the plot just continues to thicken. I hate spoilers, so I won't give aa synopsis, but I would highly recommed this book. But only to those who are open minded, and definitely not the faint of heart.

    Ugh

The mermaid series was pretty good but on page 260 or so this book just gets worse and worse...weak characters...no plot in sight and worst of all....women who are none too bright. Impossible to read further

    Corny

If you can stomach the thought of a 28 year old man passionately kissing a 14 year old girl, you might like this book.
If you can stomach the idea of women standing by men who have seriously screwed up by cheating and lying, then this book is for you.
I won't be paying for the next book.

WOW! What an incredible writer and what an incredible story!

WOW! What an incredible writer and what an incredible story!

Here is my review of this book and the next two books after that:
I was hooked from the first page. These books are very well written and very creative with a ton of twists and turns that you really don't expect. The characters are developed so well that I feel like I know them... I groaned audibly when I clicked to the next page to see that I had come to the end... I didn't want it to end! I am so going to miss Para, Pax and Amara and Thorn and Ash .... Luckily she is in the works for more Para books :)

Fantasy, Science Fiction, Drama, Romance, Mystery, Comedy all weaved into a story that had me glued to my screen, clicking page after page until I couldn't hold my head up anymore.

Pax and Amara, best friends from childhood, who are both part Goddess and part human, both get their hearts broken by their men (who are also demi-gods). This tale of magic, revenge, love, and broken hearts is only one half of the wonderful story.

There is an evil queen who is making life miserable in a variety of ways. There is awesome action scenes that I could just picture on the big screen....

I first have to say the cover makes the book appear to be a romance, and while romance certainly is in these books (quite steamy at times), it is far and beyond your typical romance story. Time Travel, multiple dimensions, ancient magic..... (don't forget the little energy sucking demon thingees )

There were times I cried my eyes out for the characters pain and anger and times when I laughed out loud and times where I just gripped my mouse, reading as fast as I could hoping she made it out of this one o.k.
Pax and Thorn on the ice (first book) was such an intense scene.... it went from one emotion to the next... from 'wow, this is getting hot and steamy... nice :) ....... to crying my eyes out for Pax's pain.... then crying even harder for her anger

I think I will recommend these books to everyone I know whether they enjoy romance or not.... very well written and creative. I can see these books being made into a movie someday.

Now I have to appease my need for more of this story by just going to see what else Nadia Scrieva has written... what a wonderful author! I have been greatly entertained for days :)
