Overview

Destiny lies along an uncharted course…

Project Exorcism, Book 1

Long ago, the Commission thought it had succeeded in ridding Earth of all supernatural beings. They were dead wrong. The supernaturals have not only survived the cold reaches of space, they have thrived. And grown more powerful.

Commission Captain Sevan Vasil has enough problems without the strange, erotic dreams that seem to be his mind’s version of a cruel joke. No woman could be that perfect a lover…except perhaps a mate. That’s the joke—no woman alive would dare answer a lion-shifter’s call. Until sassy, raven-haired Lorelei Janelle appears on his communication screen. The familiar face and angelic voice are straight out of his dreams.

Lorelei’s gut tells her not to let Sevan’s damaged vessel anywhere near her uncharted planet, but her hormones overrule her head. The all-too-cocky, all-too-sexy captain is all she ever wanted—and everything it’s not safe to have. Getting him and his crew safely off the planet before the planet’s ruling vampire sorcerer awakes will be nip and tuck.

Getting Sevan out of her heart…impossible.

Paranormal Payload is the first book in the Project Exorcism ser

Paranormal Payload is the first book in the Project Exorcism series by Mandy Roth. This new story has a very imaginative and creative combination of science fiction erotic romance plus paranormal shifters, vampires, etc with varying magical powers, out in the universe having been exiled by earth's mortals. From the beginning I was drawn into the story by emotional highly sexual dream sharing between Captain Sevan Vasil and Lorelei Janelle. Sevan is a Captain on a ship for Earth's commission and Lorelei is on a planet hidden from earth's knowledge.
I liked hearing this from Sevan's POV as he touchingly revealed how his attachment to his dream mate was so much more than physical release but a whole different dream realm where over six months they have fallen in love and choose to mate. His dreams have become everything to him and she has healed his open soul, completing him and curing his loneliness. Sevan sounds like the perfect combination of dreamy hunky sexy alpha with the right amount of sensitivity, cockiness and sense of humor to melt a girls heart. He is a lion shifter but has yet to shift, it gets complicated as the gene pools have become diluted and strained. By the Way he has an equally swoonworthy twin brother (and conveniently Lorelei has a twin sister).
Lorelei and her sister hold leadership positions on their planet. Lost from others of their kind 150 years ago when they were exiled from earth with the other paranormals this is the only world they have known. There are quite an assortment of different species on this planet many good and some really dark and dangerous that pose a series threat to all. Lorelei is very likable, she is apparently "the one", a special chosen female with growing powers. She and her sister will be a part of the prophecy that will save their world. Sevan and his crew are apparently the other half of this prophecy and when they land on her planet to service their space craft, the dark forces are ready to attack. Lorelei is spirited and confident, she is powerful and loyal. She holds nothing back from loving and protecting her family and those close to her as best she can. She was not a whiny what should I do kind of heroine. It was a bit frustrating for a short period in the story when Sevan and Lorelei finally meet and don't immediately admit the person they have been dream sharing with for six months is real and right in front

First of all, I am not a fan of futuristic or sci fi, but I will

First of all, I am not a fan of futuristic or sci fi, but I will make an exception for this series. Earth in the not so distant future has finally found out that paranormal being live amongst us. Humans being what they are, round up everyone who is different and send them out into space to live on planets that are distant from Earth but capable of sustaining life. Four of the five ships crash, but the people on Earth think all five were destroyed. Meanwhile back on Earth, there are still people with paranormal traits among the normals, hiding in plain sight. Sevan and his brother Jordan are among those. They have a small amount of lion shifter DNA that cannot be traced by scanners.
Sevan has been having erotic dreams about his mate, Lorelei, who he has never met. They have even truly mated in his dreams.

Lorelei is descended from the group on the fifth ship. She is very powerful and a leader of her people. They are being terrorized by a vampiric creature called Stegian. She has had the same dreams as Sevan but will send him away before she allows him or his crew to be hurt.

The opening scenes of this book will hook the reader quickly and the action both actual and erotic never lets up. The author has created a unique and complete world full of danger and excitement. The characters are interesting and unique, both hero and villain. This is a book that will keep you at the edge of your seat and then send you to your favorite bookseller for the next story. I love this series and find myself rereading all of the books often.

I wasn¿t too sure how I¿d feel about this book, kind of a cross

I wasn’t too sure how I’d feel about this book, kind of a cross between sci-fi and paranormal romance. I was pleasantly surprised when I started reading the book and could not put it down. I am not even sure I took a break at all.

Sevan has figured he would spend his life loving a dream, no other woman would compare to the one he has dreamed about for the last six months.

Lorelei is trying to keep her people safe, and is distracted by her dreams of the perfect man.

Imagine their surprise when Sevan’s ship breaks down in the vicinity of Lorelei’s planet. It is even more surprising when they meet face to face. The rest you will have to read, there is plenty of action, love and mystery in this book and I cannot wait to read more!

I loved this book an I loved Sevan and Lorelei. They were perfect for each other. I loved how the author got them together by using their dreams. This book grabbed my attention from the first page and held my interest all the way through to the very last page.

I can't wait to read the other three books in the series to see what happens next. I highly recommend this book to everyone. It is filled with romance, life threatening danger, hot hot hot mating and alpha shifters learning to shift for the first time. There is also an evil villian that you love to hate. Be sure to pick up this book and the rest of the books in the series, you will be very very glad that you did.

    Loved It!
I loved this book; this is the first book in the Project Exorcism Series by Mandy Roth. This is a short book but the story is complete. I loved that I read this story in one sitting, because it would have been hard to put it down. The Commission thought they succeeded in ridding Earth of all the supernatural beings, but they were wrong. Some managed to stay on Earth un detected, while others thrived in other planets in space. Commission Captain Sevan Vasil is one that slipped thru because he has a very small percentage of lion shifter in his body. He has been dreaming of his mate, Lorelei for the past six months, but has only met her in his dreams. He is on a mission when his aircraft is damaged; he makes a call to the closest uncharted planet. The woman he talks to grants permission to land and repair his aircraft. Lorelei knows that it is not safe for her to allow this strange aircraft to land but her hormones overrule her head when she hears the sexy voice of the captain. When she meets the members of the aircraft, and sees Sevan for the first time she believes that she is dreaming, because he is the mate she has been dreaming of. When they get over the shock of seeing each other in person, the attraction heats up fast, but she is determined to get Sevan and his team off her planet because it is not safe. They must work together to fight the evil before he wins. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Paranormal Payload had a pleasantly unexpected mix of futuristic

Paranormal Payload had a pleasantly unexpected mix of futuristic sci fi and paranormal, with a small side of erotic romance.
I will read more of the Project Exorcism series. I am curious about how the legend that revolves around the Janelle family will play out.
I also enjoyed the story line of how Earth has shipped off  numerous paranormal beings that they felt were too evil for Earth.
This author does not disappoint. Her characters are well developed, the plot well-thought out and the back-story beautifully explained.
I cannot wait to read the rest of the series!

terrific read-sci-fil with paranormal flavor. Hero and Heroine make the passion leap off the pasges.

***A gifted copy was provided by the author for an honest review***

The is book 1 in the Project Exorcism series.
Captain Sevan Vasil has been having these erotic dreams for 6 months. 6 months of these strange yet powerful erotic dreams where the dreams seem so real. Sevan wonders if he has dreamed this woman to life because the woman on his comm screens allowing him to make an emergency landing on her planet. Sevan believes this woman could be his mate but thinks fate would be cruel to show him something that he could never have because he is a were-lion and he knows he can never risk having children or getting married.
Loreli Janelle has been dreaming the same dreams as Sevan. When she answers a distress call from a ship orbiting her planet, she sees it is captained by the man in her dreams. She is so unsure to give him leave to land on her planet but she does –because something in him called out to her.
This is a great premise for a series. Paranormal Payload is sci-fi based  with a paranormal flavor in how earth went thru this HUGE killing off of about every type of race, breed, animal and here you have the strongest will survive type with a cast of characters and secondary casts who need their own stories like ASAP. I loved Sevan and Loreli’s chemistry. It leap off the page and carried it thru the end.  Really good!! Highly Recommend

When humans learned about the existence of paranormals, Project

When humans learned about the existence of paranormals, Project Exorcism was born. Fearing the supernaturals, the humans shipped them all off of Earth. Little did they know, that many of them still survived.

Captain Sevan Vasil is one of those survivors. He is part lion shifter but the genetics are so recessed he has been able to fly under the radar and continue working for the Commission. Sevan has been having some pretty explicit dreams with a woman who he believes is his mate. He chalks up his dreams to loneliness. He knows that he can never risk settling down and having children for fear that they may be born shifters.

Lorelei Janelle answers a distress call from a ship orbiting her world only to realize that it is captained by the same man that she has dreaming about for months! She is reluctant to give him permission to land for his own safety but she can't help herself.

The chemistry between these two is intense! And those dreams *fans face* WOW. The story flew by quickly with plenty of twists and turns and although the ending seemed to wrap up quicker than I would have liked, I still very much enjoyed the story. I will definitely be checking out the next book in the series.

    Payload MOTHERLOAD!

HOLY!  I was absolutely hooked from the start!  Mandy never ceases to amaze and entertain me!  This book has a little different vibe to it then what I have previously read of hers before, but I very much enjoyed it and want to read more!!!!  I loved all of the “prophecy” and “legends” aspect to it, how so many things were foretold, but for the most part dismissed…until those things started happening of course!  I am really starting to enjoy the shorter story format, but more specifically finding, accepting and staying with your mate from the time you find each other.  I found that while not ALL of my questions were answered or explained fully, I still very much loved the way the histories were told, mentioning bits & pieces here and there, enough to explain that immediate moments happenings, but not ever really giving the entire story/picture.  But isn’t that what a great storyteller’s job is all about – finding that perfect balance of information, backstory, teasers all while keeping the readers informed and interested, (OK hooked!) and Mandy seems to find that perfect mix each and every time!  As usual with a story that has Mandy M. Roth as the author, you know there is going to be so many great aspects to the story, and presumably the series, which of course I cannot wait to read!!  I loved the mystery of the different “races”, what their different abilities are or could be, how funny the reactions are to them,  All of the different planets, races, shifters, vampires, hags, mind control, mysterious markings like our tattoos but with a life all of their own…I think!  But put it all together and it becomes one fantastic concept that is so very fresh and unique!  You know how it is – gives you just enough to hook you, leave just enough out to keep you wondering, wanting more and reading to find out, mix in some great characters that you can’t help but like, love or even hate, add in hot sex, mates and a baddie into the mix and you get “THE. PERFECT. STORY.”  Oh wait!  And it has to have “by Mandy. M. Roth” THEN it is PERFECT!  But at the end of it all, if left me with just one burning question – how come MY dream man hasn’t appeared to me yet?!?!?!

If you dream of a woman long enough does she become real? That's the question Sevren asks when he sees the woman on screen he's been making love to in his dreams for six months. She's directing him for an emergency landing on her planet.

Loreli has had the same dreams!

She wants him, he wants her. Should be easy. Except: The planet has dangers that seem insurmountable and no one wants to subject outsiders to them. With the ship needing repairs to continue the crew is allowed to stay only for repairs. Of course they can't be completed as quickly as necessary. Night falls and the danger is multiplied.

Ms Ross creates a world of humans, more than humans, villains, heroes, strong women, hot alpha males and a history that ties them together. She uses her brand of humor and introductions to characters we want to know more about for future stories. This one stands alone but is a tempting introduction to other lives and stories.

This is a new series for me and I will buy the rest. This ARC was provided for an honest review.
