Super fun book series. I love the feisty Alexia and the eclectic supernatural set the books revolve around. It is a great example of steampunk's charms (Victorian setting and mannerisms with more technological advances) with werewolf/vampire conspiracies thrown in. This is my second time reading the series, and I'm sure there will be more.

I highly recommend this series. I was hooked with the first book and just finished book four, Heartless. The characters were all very well developed and the story kept me interested and involved for weeks. If you like books placed in the victorian era with a steampunk flavor and paranormal elements, you will love this series.

These were an exceptionally entertaining group of books. I picked up Soulless by chance and was immediately hooked into the alternate history of Victorian England, where vampires, werewolves, and ghosts are integrated into society. These books are for adults, because I don't think that many teenagers will have the understanding of actual history to make this alternative history interesting. I am not-very-patiently waiting the relase of Timeless next year!

These well written books offer a quick easy read for the steampunk aficionado. Add in a bit of Victorian humour and you'll be all set for a few great hours of reading! These books offer a more light-hearted side to steampunk without losing any of the elements that make for a good novel in the genre. There are a couple of twists and turns throughout the plot to make you want to come back for more without making it so complicated you never want to read it again.
All in all, I can't say enough good things about these books or the author. Before you start reading them, make sure you have a comfy seat, a nice pot of tea and a plate of treacle tarts ready!

How could you go wrong with a book about Victorian England ... the first book starts with a very proper Victorian lady -- with just a touch of the shall we say uniqueness to her soul -- and a hungry, newly made vampire. The opening incident introduces a Werewolf Lord who can't escape the fact that the Lady in question drives him mad and not only when the moon is full. Talk about opposites attracting. The secondary characters are delightful and appear throughout the series. I can only say I can't wait for the 5th book of the series!

These a quite possibly the most addicting books I have read in a long time. They have everything mystery, romance, steampunk, adventure, supernatural creatures, and a very witty smart strong female main character. What more could you want in a book?

Overview
Book 1: SOULLESSAlexia Tarabotti is laboring under a great many social tribulations. First, she has no soul. Second, she's a spinster whose father is both Italian and dead. Third, she was rudely attacked by a vampire, breaking all standards of social etiquette.
Where to go from there? From bad to worse apparently, for Alexia accidentally kills the vampire -- and then the appalling Lord Maccon (loud, messy, gorgeous, and werewolf) is sent by Queen Victoria to investigate.
With unexpected vampires appearing and expected vampires disappearing, ...
