This is all done in true first person and is really to read. I skipped large sections because so much time was spent on detailed descriptions of things that added nothing to the story. I was never able to connect with the main character so none of the other characters really developed for me either since it was all done from her perspective. The actual premis of the story was intersting but it didn't pan out for me. I won't be reading anymore in this series.

This book is long. And im not saying the BOOK is long. I mean the STORY. Sure it has mysterious and sexy written but by the time you want them to giv the damn answer to the book it just doesnt happen. Does he know about her abilities? Why does she listen to her parents if they treat her like a teen? I mean just tell it already! I read it to pg 39. And when i said it is long i do men its LONG AND SLOW!!!! i do NOT reccommend this book.

I really liked the premise and the characters held my interest. The ending was quite abrupt and I am torn about whether to continue the series. Overall it is r,thought-provoking. But... it needs professional editing. Sometimes the details were excessive and overwhelming, yet uninformative. Othertimes it felt like the author just didn't bother "I can't describe it" is the description given several times. Also there are minor spelling, grammar and punctuation errors throughout.

It was a waste of my time.

This is the first book in the Parched Series. Clarity Parker has a great job and wants for nothing. That is until she meets Baron Ford. All through this book Clarity has to be patient to find out what is so special about her while everyone else seems to already know. She has to put her trust not only in Baron Ford but her Guardian, Viesel Egos. This is not your regular vampire story. This has twists and turns and gives you a new perspective about God and Adam and Eve. This book does not overwhelm you with the religious background but gives you just enough to understand how everything began. This is a good book and I will continue to follow the series

A 150 page free book of earth, angels, vampires, and other unworldly creatures in the conflict of good, evil, and survival with love and sex, of course. An adult story because of sexual content. Not your average earth context, so if you are not accustomed to science fiction, you might find this a hard read. If you find this difficult, do not try Isaac Asimov or Carl Sagan. Does need editing but most FRE

This whole entire series is addicting. I must admit that the first book is not the best, but i encourage you to keep reading! Z.L. Arkadie will have you entralled in the story of these seven sisters and their Sellels! I cannot wait for the story to continue. I love book series in general and this one is definitely in my top 5 favorite of all time.

If the author would have cut some of the story that really did not have to be in this book, or made a novella first with all the info on who, what, when these vamps etc..... are. The story would have made better sense. I'm not saying its terrible, but it is most def not best book. Some parts reminded me of twlight. Not saying its good or bad on that note. Mostly, I will not read the next book or books in this series.

I did like it and look forward to reading the rest of the series, but it wasn't a grab me and toss me into their world type read. I found the time lines to be a bit distracting. Being gone for 2 years and having to pick up the pieces seemed a bit much for me but over all, found it well written and rather fun. I like the vampire take on it and with Clarity and her sisters being the 'beings' they are, how it'll all turn out for all of them. Since there are 8 in the series, I figure (hope?) it'll be worthwhile to continue the adventures.

I loooove this book! I could not put it down. I love how it wasn't rushed and gave you lots of detail, so that you could imagine yourself actually there in the story... Just bought book 3 can't wait to see what happens next!
