I bought this book at a Barnes and Noble for One dollar, and now I see why it was only a dollar. I can't believe this book has received so many great reviews. I would feel awful knowing that someone was treating their child in this manner. I believe in disciplining a child for bad behavior but the suggestions in this book are unreasonable.

I saw the authors on Oprah, Sally, and CBS Morning and ran out to get the book. It is the most effective parneting book I have seen. The authors tell you very specific techniques to help children learn to follow directions of the first request, stop tantrums in a few days, improve school performance, and a lot more. It is a real how to book. It has made a major difference in our household. I appreciate the authors' efforts.I highly recommend it.
