The stories of Paris are even better than the sites.

This is a great book, especially if you're going to Paris. It's too easy to miss the real Paris by just going to the famous sites, and it's too easy to miss the greatness of the famous sites without their stories. The only thing better that I can think of is to go to Paris, and take some of the fabulous (and affordable) Paris Walks walking tours offered by the authors and their fine associates.
