Explore the world of wildlife with the park rangers--this guide is like being on your own personal, professionally guided wildlife tour.
Library Journal - Library JournalMiller provides an introduction to wild animals often seen in our national parks. The book is divided in sections by area of the country, and animals common to that region are discussed in that section. The descriptions are accurate and suitable to the general reader. However, information of this sort can be obtained from National Wildlife magazine. This is not a field guide in the style of the Peterson's guides. Discussions of animals and specific national parks are not included. The most valuable part of the book is the appendix, where addresses of state parks, state game departments, and wildlife education programs are listed. Not an essential purchase.-- Mary J.
