About the Author

I have been teaching English for over 15 years and writing ebooks for 2.

Katherine is a freelance ELT materials writer based in Spain. She has written course books, online courses and other materials for all the top ELT publishers including OUP, Macmillan, Richmond, CUP, BBC English, British Council, Edelvives, Anaya English and Burlington.

Cecilia Lemos (Brazil) has been teaching English for over 20 years. She is also a teacher trainer and materials writer. Her professional interests are mainly lesson observation, assessment and feedback. She is currently a Director of Studies at Cultura Inglesa in her hometown on Recife.

Before 2000: RAAF Pilot and Project Engineer with background in astrophysics and systems engineering. After 2000: Teacher in dance and English as a Second Language (ESL/TESOL) with background in web technology and online teaching.

Adam has been fortunate enough to spend the last fifteen years of his journey as a lifelong learner working with others in what some call the ‘language classroom’. He is currently privileged to have the opportunity to help young adults meet their educational goals at Sabanci University in Istanbul. His professional interests include flexibility within the curriculum and the considered use of technology in the classroom. He occasionally finds time to blog about his life.

David Petrie (Portugal) is a teacher and teacher trainer with International House, and a print and digital materials writer and consultant to ELT publishers. His professional interests mainly lie in teaching exam classes and using technology in teaching, which he blogs about when he gets the chance.

I'm an English teacher with experience in exam preparation, YL, general adult English and in-company teaching. I'm also involved in examining, and writing and editing of materials for teachers and learners.
