I was amazed by Waites' lyrical style. The author manages to convey the strength and clarity of her faith at the same time that she slowly reveals the depth of deprevation housed between the convent walls. I could not put this book down!

Reading this memoir was somewhat akin to wandering into an achingly beautiful yet distressing dream. Waites' prose flows like poetry and the narrative reveals and hides away the depth and breadth of her story. I finished the book in two days of straight reading - what a joy of a memoir to discover! I have recommended it to all of my friends! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
