About the Author

JK Crum I was born in Columbus Ohio in October of 1966 and nearly 60 years old. Played professionally now for over 20 years. I began in a small town of Buckeye Lake in Ohio at the age of 25, and play a variety of instruments including guitar, banjo, mandolin, piano, trumpet, percussion and a vocalist for the group. I am a Singer Songwriter and Reverbnation Recording Artist. As an accomplished musician and member of the American Federation of Musicians I’ve played a variety of events and private parties. I am a US Navy Veteran, a publisher, producer, and event manager among the many responsibilities.

After serving in the Navy “John Kevin Crum” age 23, got his job working for a contractor in Largo Florida and worked for nearly 30 years achieving a level of success I had only dreamed of on the farm in Ohio. Known then by the name John Crum my employer provided me an education and opportunities including vocational schools, leadership development and business management courses which I took advantage of. I honed my skills as a professional repair technician and for the last 10 years of my career as a business leader. I decided to retire in 2016 when my wife passed away. I served as her caregiver for 3 years and upon her death she told me to “go and do what you love” I had played for many years in bands on the weekend and this was the defining moment. The one life changed forever and another as if an offshoot of a parallel reality spang.

Known to my family and closest friends for my entire life everyone called me Kevin. It is my middle name and the one momma called me. My personal life became a simple one serving veterans and seniors. I founded Jk Crum Entertainment LLC and registered my business as a Florida Corporation in December of 2017. I played for all kinds of venues and clients using booking websites like Gigsalad and started blogging about my gigs and experiences in 2019.
