Description: This study guide for the CCRN exam covers information about the exam and preparation, but, most importantly, key concept areas in all major systems. There is also an online question bank.
Purpose: The purpose is to prepare nurses for the CCRN exam. The online site is a wonderful addition and is full of over 1,000 questions for students.
Audience: The audience is anyone interested in taking the CCRN exam. The author is much respected in this area, having written CCRN test preps for a number of years.
Features: The book covers preparation for the test and system breakdown, as well as multisystem and psychosocial issues. The best thing about the book is the variety of study methods it uses, from puzzles and fill in the blank to crosswords and questions. Each system is covered in great detail and with current information. The study materials are excellent. The only thing I do not like is the blue print, which is a little difficult to read.
Assessment: This is a wonderful book for anyone preparing for the CCRN exam. The study materials are excellent and I love the various teaching methods. The online questions easy to use. The book covers all current themes and treatments. I would highly recommend this for anyone interested in taking the exam. It is well worth the cost!
