Marvelous magical anthology of American folk songs for the whole family

David Grover shifts his gaze from child-oriented music to a slightly different type of generational genre in this CD. He puts aside his considerable song-writing talents to concentrate instead on compiling a fascinating collection of old-time folk music classics, some of which are instantly familiar, some new (to me) ... but all of which are brilliantly arranged and performed in the style we've grown to expect from Grover and his Big Bear Band plus special musical guests. The tongue-twisting tempo of "Turkey in the Straw" astounded my five year old daughter and her three year old cousin. Parents and grandparents should delight in sharing these musical treasures which, parenthetically, received award recognition from the Parents Choice Foundation". Simply can't go wrong with this choice!
