After reading Ms. Suarez's first book, 'Living Crazy Like Fly', I eagerly anticipated the second. This book, though different, is just as enjoyable, maybe more so. There are lots of inspirational true stories and her poetry is quite good. I still anticipate the sequel to her first book and hope we won't be waiting to long for that release! Two thumbs up again Caryn. Your writing style is great and as usual your stories are interesting, fast paced and contemporary! What an enjoyable read! You have a true fan in me!!

With half the book dedicated to poems and the other half to short stories, there's something here for everyone ! I particularly liked the short stories. They take you through the gamut of emotions; joy, sadness, anger, relief, PT has it all. Easy to read, hard to put down, PT is for you.

Just in time for the new year, author, Caryn Suarez, has done it again. If you liked the Clara Award winning book, 'Living Crazy Like Fly', you will love 'Passing Thoughts', a 25-year-collection of the best of Suarez's poetry and short stories. Love and laughter, tears and pain; all are present in this collection. A special dedication and a chapter is devoted to a young neighbor who was murdered in 2001. The touching story of her daughter and husband's grief reflect the deep bond the entire family shared with the young boy who had not yet turned 21 (Life on Limewood). Suarez has been writing most of her life. She said writing was one of the ways she dealt with her pain as a teen and continues to be a way of dealing with life's frustrations now. Her simple, no nonsense style may appear harsh to some, but the true feelings behind the words comes through with startling clarity and can often move the reader in suprising ways. On April 05, 1973, Suarez wrote, 'Happy are those who dream dreams and are ready to pay the price for them to come true.' Her dreams are coming true as her books gain in popularity. I look forward to her future projects!
