This Psychological Thriller Is A Real Pageturner!

This exciting book is a gem of a novel. Set in contemporary New York City, the action and interaction build upon each other and culminate in a most unexpected double-twist ending. It was marvelous to see Dr. Paul unfolding the intensity of the suspense that drives his colorful but all-too-real characters, including the Mafia. Marcy, the central character, is most engaging. Exceptionally well researched and written, Passion Is The Power displays Dr. Paul's medical talents and psychiatric knowledge of people and their relationships. He explores sexual and eating disorders, and fleshes out the meaning of passion. Accented with facsinating facts, he reveals the intricacies of corporate and legal system corruption, largely unknown to me (and most people, I think). Dr. Paul displays remarkable insight into human nature and culture. He is a gifted writer. I couldn't put it down! Five Stars: Highly Recommended

    A Terrific Read!

This book is fabulous; I couldn't put it down. From start to finish the action and suspense grew until the grand finale. And what a surprise ending! In retrospect I could see there were some hints, but they were so subtle I missed them. I loved the main character, Marcy, and how she struggled and developed while overcoming so many ordeals. She is quite touching and also an inspiration. Her relationships were really involved and reflect the nitty gritty that we often grope with but don't always understand. I also learned a lot about some of the less well known aspects of the real world. The corruption in companies and the legal system, and the Mafia and their strange ways were really portrayed well. Overall, just wonderful!

    Wow! A Must-Buy.

This book is a definite must-buy for all psychological thriller lovers. The story speaks for itself, but since Dr. Paul is a new author, I promise you that it is worth reading again and again. My husband and I were both captivated by all the twists and turns in the plot, which ultimately functioned as an intricate clockwork.
And I was very moved by the central character, Marcy Leone, and how she managed to overcome so many real and difficult obstacles. Informative and very entertaining at the same time. What more can I say?

    Just terrific!

Right off the bat this novel plunges us into the midst of the struggles of the fascinating central character Marcy Leone, who faces mulitple issues, ranging from marital and religious to legal and medical. Then Dr. Paul progressively intensifies the dramatic tension with detailed and believable human characters which are fleshed out with extaordinary insight into human nature. Then he brackets the action and interaction with remarkable facts about the Mafia and corruption in corporations and the legal system. And all of this crescendoes in an amazing surprise ending. The overall impact is quite impressive, and results in a book you will want to read from start to finish. An impressive accomplishment; I loved reading every page.
