I like Peter Gabriel’s style. He always comes up with something different, unique and new compared to others such as "The Feeling Begins", "Lazarus Raised", and others. Beautiful sound of duduk. Duduk is incomparable instrument. It is an Ancient Armenian instrument. Over 3000 years old. It’s been chosen as a soundtrack in movie Gladiator in fact Peter Gabriel is one of the collaborators of Jivan Gasparian, who is the best duduk player in Armenia. There are others who also play duduk very well. It’s a difficult musical instrument to master. You may have heard the sound of duduk in the movies Pulp fiction, Heat, Russian House, and others. Yanni has a DVD/CD album called “Tribute”, beautiful beginning of duduk in one of the songs. Try to listen where you are not disturbed. You will feel the extraordinary tune that’s unlike any other sound of instruments. I usually listen to it with headphones at night with no distraction. Great CD

    Pure, Powerful and Real

Unfortunately, the best thing to come of the movie, The Last Temptation of Christ was the soundtrack. Juxtaposed to Wilem Dafoe's poor performance, the ambient hues, and unbridled passion and purity that Gabriel is able to musically capture and then divulge, channel and purify into a sonic representation of the most dificult struggle man could ever know, all human and all holy. Peter Gabriel's Passion is an amazing tribute to music and the soul and it lives far beyond its proper title. It is passion. A gemstone in a growing, glowing, golden crown of a musician who in my book is the greatest composer of the 20th Century. This album will stay with you and is the best album I own. It is as powerful as John McArthur's, HIDDEN and as humbling as Jeff Johnson's, Navigatio with a faint whisper of This Mortal Coil's, Song to the Siren. Buy this album. It won't forget you.
