I get really annoyed with 'sex experts' who hold out the promise of teaching you something new and then don't. Daniel Stein is a gynecologist, a medical doctor, a physcian. I know this because he told me so over and over. This book consists mainly of Dr. Stein blathering on and on about sex without conveying anthing new. In some areas Dr. Stein is ignorant and prejudiced. If you don't like anal sex like Dr. Stein does--you're not doing it correctly. If you don't like sex toys like Dr. Stein does--then you're not using them correctly because Daniel Stein 'knows' they enable you to have a stronger orgasm. The only thing I learned from this book was the intimate and particular details of some of Dr. Stein's patients' sex lives. This was something I had no right to learn. Presumably Dr. Stein could have taught me something about anatomy, but instead he preferred to dumb down the anatomy(Love Muscles, indeed!).

The special power within you in the sub title of Dr. Daniel Stein's new book,'Passionate Sex'. Good health equals good sex, and good sex for a richer loving relationship between loving and caring partners, is the basis of this book. The methods are only guide posts along the way. Passioate Sex will bring new creativity and a million pleasurable ideas into your life. Best of all it is written by a gynecologist who knows what they're talking about. While we haven't tried everything yet, its refreshing to know that there is so much that is safe and healthy. This book is easy and fun to read. The section on TOYS(including the beautiful photos) was a real eye-opener. I shared the book with my husband of 20 years and it worked!!! Dr. Stein thanks for bringing passion back into our marriage.

This is one of those so-called 'liberating' self help books. It's supposed to make sexual expression more legitimate and part of the main stream for the new-age-millenium. But it's a cop out. It's just the latest fad in wrinkle cream (Turkey Fat)for a sneeky return to 60's style free sex. Period.

I was lucky enough to get an early copy of PASSIONATE SEX and found it to be the best book written on the subject of sexuality as it affects our health, happiness and longevity. After reading so many sex books written by jornalists, it was important to me to finally have a book written by a medical doctor.. It stresses that caring for one's sexual well-being is just as important to the mind and body as the food we eat, the medicine we take, and the exercise we do. Yet although we live in a society that is sex-oriented, most people are too embarrassed to discuss sex in a serious way. I would recommend this book to women or men who want the maximum out of life. It tells you how to find it.
