PASSIONATELY YOURS

With her older sisters both happily married, Caro Sloane yearns for a romantic adventure of her own. Unfortunately the muddy, sulfur-scented waters of Bath seem the least likely setting for love or excitement. But the aspiring young poet soon finds inspiration when she runs into a familiar-and achingly handsome-Scottish laird.

Visiting Bath with his sickly sister, Alec McClellan is shocked to be reunited with Caro Sloane. He hasn't been able to forget the English beauty since their brief but exhilarating first meeting. But Bath is not nearly as serene as it appears, and soon Alec must protect Caro from a danger that threatens to extinguish the sparks flying between them. Little does he know that a bit of danger is exactly what Caro is looking for . . .

I absolutely loved the first two books in this series, and this

I absolutely loved the first two books in this series, and this one didn't disappoint. Passionately Yours was a fantastic historical romance. I absolutely loved this book. It was romantic, thrilling, and a fun read. From start to finish, it was amazing.

Caro was a lovely heroine. She was high-spirited, strong, determined, and a bit stubborn. Of course, that often got her into trouble, but it also made her a very endearing character. She was strong, and fiercely loyal to those she cared about. I really liked her. She was a wonderful character.

Alec was also amazing. At first, he seems closed-off, somewhat standoffish. But, he had reason to be. And, underneath all that, he was a genuinely good man. He was very clever, sweet, and protective of his loved ones. I adored him. I thought he was perfect.

The romance was lovely. There were sparks constantly flying between these two, whether they were sparring words or...enjoying other passions. Both were exceedingly strong and clever and they met their match in each other. They were a wonderful couple.

The plot was fast paced and I was hooked the entire way through. There were some thrills, as Alec and Caro dealt with a traitor in their midst. I really enjoyed the story and the ending was so lovely. I believe this is the last book in the series, but I definitely wouldn't say no to more. I already liked this author from previous books of hers I've read, and this series has me looking forward to her next books even more.

Passionately Yours was a brilliant historical romance. I just loved this book. It was wonderful from start to finish and I enjoyed every bit of it. Romance lovers, this book is a must read.

I was hesitant to start “Passionately Yours (Hellions of High Street # 3) because I was not ready to say good-bye to the Sloane sisters! I absolutely loved this series! I was worried about Passionately Yours not living up to the previous books, but it definitely did! This was a classic example of romance, adventure and fun! Only Cara Elliott could balance all these elements and keep them equally as interesting.
Caroline Sloane is such a fantastic character! I think that Cara Elliott did a great job of developing her character and having her come –into-her -own story. As the youngest of the Sloane sisters she had big shoes to fill but she did not disappoint. The young poet, Caro is fun, brave, strong, very sweet and vulnerable. Although she is a hit in her season in London, she is looking for love! The Scottish noble Alec McClellan was a perfect challenge for Caro and her for him! While Caro is brave and open Alec is shut off and not the most articulate when it comes to his feelings! Watching them fall in love was really a beautiful experience. Caro was so ready to fall in love and she didn’t lack the courage to be her own person. I loved Alex and Caro’s chemistry in the previous book, Sinfully Yours. While that took place in Scotland, this story was set in Bath. I loved that the author took a quiet and small town like Bath and she turned into a place where there was romance, mystery and treacherous activities.
Another fantastic part of this story were Isobel (Alec’s half-sister) and her chance at love. I loved Isobel and thought that she developed throughout the story. The theme of mystery starts from the beginning of the story as Isobel and Caro suffer an “accident”. Coincidently, this accident is paired with Alec’s visit to Bath and some of his old friends. In Sinfully Yours, we learned that Alec hates the English and that he is part of the movement for Scottish Independence. Many elements of Alec’s past filter into his present and he finds that the people he loves most are in danger because of him. All of these elements are easily explained in this story and Passionately Yours can be read without any of the previous stories and still be as enjoyable. My only complain about this book is that I have nothing to look forward to! I’m so happy for the Sloane sisters and loved them as characters! The hero’s weren’t too shabby either! So happy that Caro and Alec found their way to each other but I’m going to miss these characters!

PASSIONATELY YOURS by Cara Elliott is an exciting Regency Historical Romance. #3 in the "Hellions of High Street", but can be read as a stand alone. Although, I would recommend reading all three titles, starting with,"Sinfully Yours", then, "Scandalously Yours".

Three sisters, named "The Hellions of High Street" by the ton.

"Three very unconventional sisters with a passion for writing . . ."

"Olivia, the eldest, pens fiery political essays, Anna, the middle sister, writes racy romance novels and Caro, who is not quite out of the schoolroom, is a budding poet"

This is Caroline Sloane, the youngest Sloane sister and the poet, aka, Caro and Alec McClellan, a Scottish Lord, she meet previously at Dunbar Castle, Scotland.

Another passionate Sloane sister, gets into trouble and must be rescued by her very own Scottish hero, Alex, who is a brooding Scot. Fast paced and full of passion, secrets, a bit of treason, danger, adventure, and romance. The perfect conclusion to the "Hellions of High Street" saga. With engaging characters and an intriguing storyline will keep you up all night turning pages.

Once again, Ms. Elliott has written a tale of passion and romance. A must read! A very enjoyable read! Gifted from the publisher.

Caro Sloane is finding herself at loose ends now that her two sisters have gotten themselves married. She and her mother are staying in Bath where she meets her new friend Isobel. Isobel and Caro are returning from an outing when they are attacked by ruffians. They are soon rescued by none other than Alec McClellan, the Scot that she exchanged verbal barbs with while at a house party.

Alec McClellan can't believe his half-sister's new friend is none other than Caro Sloane. He has closed off his heart after being heartbroken by his wife and she seems to be the only one who can put a dent in it. He is trying to find out who is a traitor to his cause and doesn't have time for the feelings that she provokes.

Will Alec and Caro find proof they need to capture the traitor and will Alec finally open his heart to love again?

I was eagerly awaiting Caro's story and hoping that Alec would be her HEA. Cara Elliot did not disappoint me! I loved the bickering between the two of them. It has me laughing out loud at their antics. I also loved the added mystery in the story and the fact that Caro was not afraid to get involved and take some of the sleuthing into her own hands (much to Alec's dismay!) The conclusion to this series was very satisfying! I would recommend all three books to any lover of historical romance.

A wonderful Hellion of High Street read. Alec McClellen, Lord S

A wonderful Hellion of High Street read.

Alec McClellen, Lord Strathcona is a Scottish Baron with steely blue eyes and walls built around his heart. Beneath the stone facade he presents to society there is a softer side to him, one where humor, whimsy and poetry lurk- waiting to be given permission to run free. He is part of a secret political party fighting for independence for Scotland. Like all good heroes, he is highly protective and would prefer to keep the women in his life wrapped in thick wool and safely tucked away. He has things to learn.

Carolina Sloan, Caro is the youngest of the Hellions of High Street. She is impetuous, inquisitive, stubborn, passionate, strong-willed, and courageous. Her father saw to it that she and her sisters had a broad education, one not considered usual for women of the ton. She is looking for an adventure of her own, since her sisters’s had theirs and were enjoying married happiness.

    They have met before and she helped him then with a problem and now she is chipping away at his wall of defenses. They find each other vexing and intriguing at the same time. The threat to Caro and Isobel, Alec’s sister, runs through the story and keeps the tension rolling. The conclusion to the threat had me cheering out loud. This has been a great series and does not disappoint. The secondary budding love story is sweet and I am hoping might lead to a full story of its own. {{Smiling}}
