This book is a lot like the old TV Guide, only better. It is a great guide for peoople who are new to shortwave radio listening. The book is roughly divided into five sections. One section (Blue Pages) provides a guide listing the shortwave frequencies in a 24-hour format, telling you where the signal is directed, the language it is being broadcast, and the power of the transmitter. A second section lists worldwide broadcasts in English by the countries they originate from. A third section provides addresses, phone numbers and other information about the broadcasting stations. A fourth section provides English-language broadcasts with the frequencies and programming notes. The fifth section provides feature material about interesting items to shortwave listeners, including product reviews and interviews of broadcasters.
Please note, though, that if you are looking for materials about how to broadcast on shortwave bands, I don't think this is the book for you.
