Gotta love nancy drew. And for the person who said she was always described the same way and had no development, come on. These were written in the 50s. Of course she doesnt talk like us! Please try to be understanding. These are classics

Nancy Drew Mystery, Password to Larkspur Lane

Would you risk your life just to save a old lady you never met before? In the book "Password to Larkspur Lane" by Carolyne Keene, Nancy Drew, a pretty young detective risks her life to save a stranger, Mrs.Eldridge. In this adventure book, Nancy goes through tragedy and life and death matters.

Nancy, a teenage, pretty, smart only child lives in River Heights. There, a lot of mysteries occur especially to Nancy since her father Carson Drew is a lawyer. One day, Nancy finds a hurt pigeon with a message on it, which leads her to a goal of finding and saving Mrs.Eldridge who got kidnapped by Thorne and Bell. During that time Helen Cornell, Nancy's friend asks Nancy for help. A mysterious blue light appears every night near her grandparents house, and Helen's grandparents are getting scared. Somehow, this mystery and the other mystery gets related.

Overall, I loved this book. This book was full of suspense and mystery. I would recommend this book to adventure reader but not to who gets scare too easily. I wish the mysteries were more dangerous. Everyone, go and read this book NOW!!!

The book the Password To Larkspur Lane by Carolyn Keene is abou

The book the Password To Larkspur Lane by Carolyn Keene is about a young detective (Nancy Drew) who finds a letter from a wounded carrier pigeon in her backyard that says “trouble here. After five o’clock blue bells will be singing horses. Come tonight.” Nancy later discovers things that unravel a serious case of people being held prisoner. With the help of Nancy’s friend they try and uncover the mystery that is happening on Larkspur Lane.
I really enjoyed this book. I love all Nancy Drew books but this one is by far one of my favorites. I think I liked it because it starts off with two mysteries that eventually end up having to do with the same thing. I also really like that this book takes place during the early 50’s. It almost feels like you’re in that time period because of the way the book is written. Furthermore I admire the main character Nancy Drew. She is strong, smart, nice and empowered. I like books when the main character is a girl that has all of those qualities.
Even though I loved this book there were some things that I didn’t care for. For example some of the words she uses are out of date and I didn’t understand the meanings. Another thing that I wasn’t a fan of was that the story ended very fast and I wanted some sort of a better wrap up than the quick ending in the last 10 pages. Other than those two things I can’t think of anything else that I didn’t like about this book.
I would suggest reading this book if you like any of the other Nancy Drew books. If you have never read Nancy Drew books and you want to start don’t feel like you have to go in order because every book does a brief explanation of each character. You would like this book if you get bored very quickly when reading books or often stop in the middle because every fifteen pages something very interesting and surprising happens. If you like the
The Missing series by Margaret Peterson Haddix you will like these books because they keep you one the edge of your seat every page. I encourage you to read this book, because I have almost nothing but good things to say about it

    Not my cup of tea.

Nancy Drew is totally one dimensional. From what I've read, she shows absolutely no character development in the original series. Almost all the books are the same, except for the odd one with some actual thought. I also didn't like the choice of wording. Drew isn't even very realistic. C'mon, where are the faults and flaws? I understand that this series is written for young adults, but girls shouldn't have to comply to a ridiculous set of standards such as these. In every book it describes her as attractive, titan blond, blue eyed, clever, smart and the list goes on. I would recommend this to anyone with a stronger taste for plot then character personalities.
