Meet the Author

A Mission that Started in Italy

Dimo D'Angilo was first introduced to his love of Italian cuisine during his upbringing in a little town in Italy called Greve-in-Chianti. Homecooked meals were a tradition that his family and community held close-to-heart. Meals were shared and celebrated, not only with immediate family, but with the people of his community. The foods that surrounded Dimo were in the sense “comfort food”. All of the recipes contained healthy ingredients that were grown and handpicked from a garden, including fruits, veggies, spices and oils, which were used to create delightful feasts.

Fifteen years later, Dimo D'Angilo is an award-winning chef that values family traditions and bonding. He has found that through food, you can make people smile and laugh, forgetting about sorrows and hardships for that small special moment. Joy is something that should always be a part of family meals, so he's created this special pasta salad cookbook that can be used by novices and beginners to be shared with their family and friends. Now, there's no excuse to not have homecooked meals that are delicious and fun to eat.

The reasoning behind Dimo's creation of this cookbook was to pass down the healthy traditions of his native country. To the contrary of what many people may think, Italian foods are known for having lots of nutritious values. Majority of the food is organically grown, gluten-free, low-sugar and low-calorie. So not only is he passing along easy-to-make dishes that taste exquisite, he's also passing down a balance that satisfies hunger and nurtures the body.

If food is the way to a man's heart, puts smiles on the faces of the grieving and bonds together otherwise broken families, and this cookbook provides that satisfaction, then Dimo D'Angilo's mission is complete.
