Meet the Author

Pat O'Neill was born in 1939 in Los Angeles, where he still lives and works. An experimental filmmaker and visual artist, O'Neill has been active in the field now for more than 40 years. His masterful films enjoy a devoted following in the international avant-garde film community and have been included in film festivals throughout the world, including New York, Rome, Athens, Istanbul, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Vienna. In addition to receiving numerous awards for his film work, O'Neill's sculpture, photographs, photographic composites, film projection, film installations and drawings have been exhibited in both one-person and group shows in the U.S. and Europe.
