The cover makes me want to find fabric in my stash and start quilting. The colors are soft and light and the quilts pattern looks very pretty. There are a Baker’s Dozen to choose from.
The first 16 pages give an overview of quilting techniques such as folded corners, improving accuracy, selecting fabrics and describing skill levels and changing block sizes. The patterns are bright and cheery with a full color photo and finished quilt and block sizes. The skill level is shown by the number of rotary cutters. A paragraph describes the quilts.
Material and cutting lists are given and graphics are shown throughout the written instructions. An exploded image shows how the rows are sewn together. There are no suggestions on quilting motifs but there is a second color choice shown. Templates are included when needed for applique.
The author’s bio can be found on the last page of the book. You won’t be able to resist starting a quilt when you look at this book.
