During the late 1960's, my mother invented a device. For years, I searched for the patent for it on the web and could not find it. It had been a proud moment for our family. The invention made my mother one of a select number of African Americans who were patented inventors. Without the patent my family couldn't find the invention at the Smithsonian. We were heart broken. Now, maybe we can approach the Smithsonian again. The complete patent came up in pdf form within two minutes after I began my search. My family is very greatful. Our family history has been preserved by this.
