}•{Conrad's POV}•{ I drugs my paws past the waterfall into the bitter harsh night, tears stinging my eyes. All these things in one day... and it was wholey my fault that Rose Sparrow and I had been banned. I found a hole dug by some sort of largish creature and crawled inside, then slumped in the back, a ball of grey fur. Feebley outstretching my paws, I stared the blood I had shed. What had I done? 'I've disgraced my family, destroyed the bond with my clan and littermates, crushed the chances of having a home, and shed blood in my early life... that's what,' I thought glumly. I knew I wouldn't survive long. There were wild animals out there, perils which had many names. Suddenly I sat rigid. 'What will become of Sparrow and Rose? But no... they will hate me now. This I know. And Sparrow can probably take care of herself...' I sat there in the silence of the dead of night, no stars and only a ghostly frowning moon. Soon I drifted of into the clutches of a nightmfre filled sleep. ************** One haunting dream after another passed. I was on the sky with flames around me, nothing to support. There were trees, but I fell through them, tumbling up a grey mountain. I kept turning invisible and running, but going backwards the foxes caught me in their jaws. There was blood on my fur but it tasted sweet. I screamed for help but no one could hear me or see me. Slowly two forms took shape and Rose and Sparrow appeared. My heart sprung with joy, for my nightmares may have been over. Desperately I tried to reach them, but the cried out and crumpled to the ground. Then all fell into darkness. I could feel it all around me, creeping up walls and filling corners of my mind. I could hardly breath. Each of my heartbeats filled the room until they stopped. I was still alive though. A light flickered on. There was a torch hanging on the wall, it's orange flames dimly illuminating a pool. Weakly and helplessly I crawled over to take a drink. When my tongue reached the water though, a splash of inky black formed and spread throughout the whole pool. I scrambled back as a face appeared, a being whose face was disorted and evil. His eyes were red and shape shadowy, as if my own shadow from the fire light had cast him. "Are... are you real?" I whimpered. "I am more real then you are," a dark metalic voice rumbled. "What do you want with me?" "You are my kit. I wanted to speak with you." I dug my claws into the ground. "You're not my father! My father is dead. And you're... you're not real! You're just a dream!" A low laugh filled the room and I started to shake. "You should have been told the truth earlier. He wasn't your real father. I was. But your mother left me after she found out what I was. They kept this secret from you to protect you. Or that's what they would say. I know they only kept it from you to protect everyone else, including their greedy selves. But I put a stop to it, didn't I?" Tears streamed down my face. "But they would have told me! I can't believe you. I won't. And if you did what you said, well that was horrid of you! And you should just... fall in a pit and... and die," I tried to scream, but it came out a shakey whisper. "I'm immortal. I cannot die. And if you heed my instructions, you will be with me immortal. When you wake up, remember one thing." His eyes flashed. "I am the king of Shadows." The figure faded into the black pool and a gust of wind blew the light out. I was again awake and back in the den, alone and crying.

It was just as intriguing as the first chapter. The difference? This time I saw a few typographic errors. Not with the spelling, but with proper punctuation. Otherwise, I simply adored this chapter.

"Wh- what?" She staggered back into a chair and sat down. Horror filled images flashed through her mind as she thought of everything that could happen. She understood that this was his last year in the military. He had signed up as a freshman but they had never once called him. So why now? "They say it will be about five months that Im gone." He said. She looked up and noticed that the tears that had previously filled his eyes were running down his cheeks. "Cole Im sorry. Im really sorry but please dont leave." Tears filled her eyes as she spoke and she tried her absolute hardest not to cry. He lowered himself to her level. "Sabrina you have to promise me something." He held her hands. She nodded for him to continue as she sniffled. "I need you to promise me that even if I dont come back you will still love me." She looked at him and stopped trying to hide the tears as they came out quickly. "Cole I will always love you." By this time the whole choir class had made a half moon shape around them. They too were crying. Cole transferred his legs and was now kneeling on only one knee. He pulled a small black velvet box out of his pocket. Her eyes widened and she felt ready to faint. "Sabrina when I come back will you be my wife?" Sabrina sat speechless. "Cole when you come back Im going to be a sophomore and did you talk to my dad. You would have to wait close to three more years for me and-" Cole cut her off with a kiss. "Sabrina I have thought off all of these things. Yes I talked to your dad yes i will wait three more years for you. Yes i really do love you. It was the question she hadnt been able to answer. He looked around the room watching everyone. Her friends had their thumbs up and were smiling. She looked at Cole realizing he really was the one. She was having extremely mixed emotions about this. She thought and thought for a good excuse to get away from the large group. When she couldnt think of of one she stood up and ran out of the choir room into the closest bathroom down the hall. She quickly vomitted into the toilet she flushed and left the stall sitting by the sink. Her best friend AshLee walked in with several girls following her. AshLee turned around and locked all the other girls out. She did get several dirty looks but who cared. "Sweetie you never answered his question." Sabrina looked up and nodded lightly. "I know. I just dont know what to answer with." AshLee smirked. "Well if it was me i would have said yes kissed him and rode off in the sunset. AshLee laughed. But your situation is a little different." Sabrina smiled and nodded. "Im not going to tell you what to do with your life sweetie. I am going to tell you that Cole loves you and will do everything in his power to come back." Sabrina nodded and they walked back into the choir room. "Cole!" Sabrina said. Cole looked at her. Shakingly she said "I would love to marry you." He smiled. "But I dont want to keep you from finding someone else you love more." She cried and sniffled d watched cole carefully. ************* if you want me to keep going tell me and i will right the next chapter.
