Overview

  • Magic has suffused the Inner Sea region for thousands of years. This
Pathfinder sourcebook takes a detailed look at the magical traditions of the
Inner Sea, including rules for magic variants (from hideous fleshwarping rituals to the wild and unpredictable surges of primal magic), examinations of how magic is taught (be it in schools, temples, guilds, or secret societies), and how the spellcasters of the region have chosen to specialize in various forms of magic.
Additionally, this book presents two, new oracle mysteries, 18 new archetypes for spellcasting classes, a pair of prestige classes (the cypher mage and the divine scion), and a wide selection of unique, unusual, and exciting new spells for all who would seek to master the art of magic.

Look here' the skinny, you don't NEED this to have a great time playing Pathfinder. But, if you're like me and you want options, lots of options, or you want to just immerse yourself in the world of Golarion and really have some awesome character development you WANT this. It isn't a thick book, and its a quick read. If you're just starting out and chose Pathfinder RPG then you really need to start with the Core and work your way through the Advanced Player's Guide so you have a better idea on how these concepts work. But if you're a veteran gamer just looking for ideas then this may be of use to you. (NOTE: is isn't really a hard cover like the Inner Sea World Guide is, it's a hardish cover)
