Purpose: The purpose is to assist students in learning key pathophysiology concepts in a portable format. The objective is very worthy and the writing team met the objective.
Audience: The intended audience includes students and educators who work with students to facilitate the learning of pathophysiology. The author is a credible authority.
Features: The book covers cardiovascular, respiratory, neurologic, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, hematologic, immunologic, endocrine, renal, integumentary, reproductive, genetic, and acid-base disorders. Features include relevant and interesting graphics to support the narrative, listings of pathophysiologic changes as well as possible signs and symptoms, memory joggers such as mnemonics to help simplify concepts, and tests.
Assessment: The pocket format of this book is convenient and the content is extremely useful.
