He finds the remains of people and a destroyed settlement, but there are no written records of a village, or battle. A warrior believed slain in battle provides the first clue to what really happened. Clare Seymour, clairvoyant, holds the warrior's skull and sees a rush of images-the warrior didn't die in battle, he was murdered. Richards orders a facial reconstruction of the skull. On seeing the warrior's face, he recognises the man. He lives today . . .
