Overview

Professor Chelsea Briarson is in hot pursuit of the one who got away. The man of her desire is Dr. Nigel Anderville. The equivalent of a rock star in the academic world, Nigel is the perfect combination of brains and brawn. He takes center stage in Chelsea's sexual fantasies every night, making her wild and wanton for the real thing. But can this California girl win back the heart of an Englishman?

Shocked to see his former lover in London, Nigel doesn't know whether to give Chelsea a good rogering or paddle her bum. She is the only woman ever to break his heart and the sexy blonde with the big blue eyes deserves some form of punishment for her crime. A good tongue lashing should do nicely. But Nigel can't decide how to exact his revenge without falling prey to his ex's beguiling ways, or wondering how Chelsea will react when his own secrets are revealed.

Chelsea Briarson is in love with Dr. Nigel Anderville. He is leaving his teaching position in the states and heading back home to London. Nigel has asked Chelsea to go back with him but she thinks she isn’t ready to give up her life in California.

I found the story to start off and knew that these two would end up together. You were able to feel the tension between these two and could almost sense Chelsea’s predicament as to which/what decision would work. Right up until Nigel boarded the plane she wasn’t sure whether to stay or go.

Sometime later she is given the opportunity to go to London and work on finishing research with Nigel. She actually volunteers as she has found herself to be quite lonely without him and very much in love with him.

Upon arriving she ends up making love to him on his desk which at the time she thinks is hers. He is trying to punish her for not coming with him at first. Things heat up and as they end up rekindling there passion we find a twist that is quite unexpected.

Ms. Isley sends readers on a fast pace romance that ends up with a surprising twist at the end. A nice read and well-rounded storyline, with a sexy Brit that is fun, here is a story for you. Reviewed by Robin. Book Provided by Publisher. Review Originally Posted @ Romancing the Book.

    Fantastic Read

Chelsea Briarson is in a dilemma: should she stay teaching at university in California or take Dr. Nigel Anderville up on his offer to move to London so they can continue their relationship?

I thought the opening of this story was wonderful. Nigel is just about to board a flight to London and Chelsea's not sure if she should go with him. Without even knowing these two characters I felt tension as to what would happen and would Chelsea make the right decision. Without giving away too much she opts not to board that flight.

However, six months later she's in London filling in for another professor and runs into Nigel and that's when things get interesting and heat up.

I felt these two were perfect for one another from page one so it was great to see them reconnect. There's an underlying sexual tension brewing from the first time they meet again and things really heat up.

I especially enjoyed the dialogue between these two and the setting, London and surrounding countryside is wonderful too. Nigel comes across as very sexy and you hope that Chelsea will have the good sense to make England her home and stay with him.

The book also has a few spots where you think things could go wrong for them which keeps you reading. And, there's a nice romantic twist at the end which I won't spoil for you.

Pacing is fast and you can probably read this book in an hour or so. If you're looking for a sexy story with a British setting and hot, sexy Brit, give this one a read.
