In 2013, the U.K.-based Edsel label compiled Patrice Rushen's first three Elektra albums: Patrice (1978), Pizzazz (1979), and Posh (1980). These albums followed the pianist-vocalist's first three albums for Prestige -- the last of which, Shout It Out, pointed toward her full embrace of R&B, including slick funk, disco, and quiet storm.
