    Excellent Summary

A fast paced tour of events and lead characters beginning at the end of the French & Indian War and progressing through the election of 1800. Excellent summary. NOT dry or boring.

    Truly Enjoyed This Course

Professor Ellis has a wonderful grasp of the American Revolutionary generation and its times. I have read his books and it was a pleasure to listen as he spoke about the personalities and events that created our nation. I'm very glad to have picked up this course. Well worth the investment, small as it is. Enlightening.

    outstanding

i started listeming to this course at 11:00 p.m. and couldn't stop. i finally went to be around 4:00 a.m. I have all the usual titles 'founding fathers', 'founding brothers', etc. but this is totally unique in that it gives you a perspective unattainable in a cd book. It ranks at # 1 in my 2,000 title book on tape collection!

    What A Unique Experience!!!!!

I am a fan of audiobooks, but this surpasses any that precludes it. A great conversational tone about the people and events surrounding the American Revolution. It hardly seems like a lecture course, more of a person talking with you. The book that accompanies the cds makes for a great resource which contains suggested readings and thought provoking questions. A great experience for any history buff!!!
