This novel took us to some dark places in our country's intelligence past, and reminded me again of why I don't trust politicians. As usual, the story was well crafted and it completely stands alone even though it is part of an excellent series. Darkwater Bay is a fascinating place to visit but I'm not sure I would want to live there, yet. It needs a bit more cleaning up. Always glad there are folks like Helen, Johnny, Tony, Devlin, and Rafe watching out for things. Helen's depth of experience and her conclusions never cease to amaze me. And just when I think she's got her act together, she makes another big decision without Johnny. But I still can't wait to see what happens next. Highly recommended.

LS Sygnet does not disappoint. I am always one of the first in line to purchase her books because I know I'm in for a good read. This series keeps me reading all night long.

I am excited to read this book that was just sent to me by a friend.  We have both read all of the series.  All of them are great, wish all my books were this good.

LS Sygnet has quickly become one of my favorite authors! Never a bored moment. Anxiously awaiting book 11.

I picked up most of the series for little or no cost - I've read each and every book in one sitting! Sygnet continues to grow her characters. Just when Helen and Johnny think they can enjoy their twin boys, they are thrown back into a case that crosses all lines. Can they solve it before they run out of time?

This newest installment of the series is much better than the prior one. Adult themes. Well edited. Not just another chick lit mystery, this one can be enjoyed by all adults. I would recommend reading book one first, " DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL," then continuing on from there. These books are very noir, and have a lot of violence, sex, cursing, blood, gore, rape, adult vices, many against children. They are very well written, hard to put down, keep the reader guessing and never get old or boring. I highly recommend this series. But if you are only looking for humor or cozy mysteries and romances, then this series is not for you. AD

LS Sygnet is the most amazing writer I have had the pleasure to read. Each time a new book comes out I promise myself that I am going to take my time and soak in the pleasure of her story. But once I get started I can't put the book down and then I find myself waiting and yearning for the next book.

What's the deal with Barnes and Noble letting people post nonsense in reviews? To the moron who posted "Squeak's Bio Corrections" - you add no value to literate people's lives who read reviews to decide if they want to buy a book. Isn't Twitter more suited to your stupidity? Patron Saint of Demons is the 10th book in the Eriksson series, and filled with more twists and turns that I could ever imagine. Just when I thought the story was going one direction, it twisted in another. I don't know how Ms. Sygnet comes up with this stuff, but it keeps me reading, turning the pages and eager for the next installment. The hint at the end of this book, what that next story might be, has me hoping that the next installment will be released very soon! Still advise that new readers start at the beginning, because most of these stories are not "stand alone" and you'll need to start at the beginning to appreciate the characters fully, particularly how they have grown together.

Great Book! Once again, Sygnet has written a terrific installment of the Eriksen Series. Helen and Johnny and friends are involved in suspenseful undertakings. Great characters as well as storyline.

Another complex and outstanding episode in the Eriksson series.  The seemingly unrelated events combine to lead the group to a possible terrorist attack.  The books do need to be read in order to get the greatest understanding of the motivations of the characters.  This is an outstanding series and Patron Saint of Demons holds its own well!

Truthfully, I read anywhere from 3-5 books a week. It can get expensive so I usually look for the free books and discounted books. I stumbled upon this DARKWATER BAY series and read all 10 in one week!   LS Sygnet's books have become an addiction!  Her characters are deep, complex, sophisticated and there is no token sex filler.  There is supsenseful tension throughout each one of her books.  A very smart andcerebral style of writing. Absolutely, a spectacular read!
