    Thorough; and completely genius

Unlike the directions printed on patterns or what you learned in grade or high school; Nancy's book on pattern fitting is unlike anyother. The book covers all those things that you never learned in school, but that you need to know to create a perfect fitting outfit. This is one book that I know I'll be referring to time and time again. This is the first of her books that I have purchased and now I can't wait to read her other books. This book is totally worth purchasing and using.

Great tutorial for the beginning pattern fitter!

I have always loved Nancy's books for her comfortable, relaxed style of instruction and this one does not disappoint. If you don't have a fitting buddy, don't want to use papier mache and just can't envision a duct tape version of yourself, this book is for you.

    Experienced and still learning.

A few years ago I saw Nancy Zieman alter patterns on her show. I tried her method but didn't have all her steps and went back to altering patterns as I have done for fifty years. I've been sewing ever since I was ten years old. My methods worked of course but now that I have all the steps from Nancy's book I have learned something new and will continue to employ Nancy's method, especially for sleeves. You should never be too stubborn to try something new, you might like it. There is never just one way to preform a task and you are never to old to learn a new method even if you are experienced.
