    Rushed

I enjoyed the 1st 2 definetly, but this one felt rushed. The book didn't take off until chpt 6. Too many characters and too many paybacks that didn't really tie in together but should have. Some story lines just didn't make sense or add up- even until the end. I wait for a climax that didn't really occur until the last 7 pages of the book. I never peak at the end, but on this one I did. Took me a full week and a half to get through this one. I just wanted to get this one over. However, I DO LIKE the set up of the book in a sense where I'm able to see exactly what the characters are thinking and feeling immediately towards one another. I felt like Shan' s character wasn't the same as the last 2 books. Nick after being sprung off ol girl, confused me on how he ended up on the plane- I thought the FEDs had him according to the news. See... i got lost somewhere. It should not have been this must confusion in a book. Too much energy spent on clarification versus enjoyment. Makes me scared to purchase any more of her books; I hate wasting money. Not sure what happened in this one. I see I can' t always trust a 5- star review. Hopefully , my next purchase from Clark will be well put together, cause this quick 198 page book didn't do it for me. Something for everyone, but this one didn't amuse me... oh as always, i love the sex scenes though, nicely written. So i guess i will give the book 2 stars!

    more from this reviewer

I have to say, this is my least favorite book from this author.

I have to say, this is my least favorite book from this author. There is so much going on and so much that doesn't coincide with the previous books in this series that I am just going to put it down. At page 63, I just decided that I've read enough and would much rather leave the Payback series ending at book 2. I'm really disappointed in something that was "supposedly" highly anticipated.

    Disappointed!!!

I've always been a huge fan of Wahida, I've brought other readers to her book. I was not at all impressed by this book. This book felt rushed and it was all over the place. Too many paybacks going on and ni connections. Some storylines were never pieced together. I doubt I stop reading her books, but this one would make me a little skeptical to purchase another. This book should have been CHEAPER! Love the Thug Series, that part was a really nice surprise.

    Not her best

I hate the ending of this book... It was entirely too many characters that i got confused. It could have been better. I really hope this was the last one out of this series. I am a huge wahida clark fan but she lost some points for this one... Three stars and i am being nice.
