    Better than the first!

I have now read this entire trilogy. The first book was awesome....and this one was better. Easy to read, you didnt want to put it down. I was so engaged with the story at the end of the first book i had to immediately get the next two. In less than a week i was done with them. What a great author, and what a great writing style. Cant wait to read more from him.

    more from this reviewer

Intense and hard to put down.

In the present time, Sargent Grant Justice is the top dog in a spec ops army division. During a raid in Russia, he falls in a freezing lake to get re-animated 600 years in the future. Humans are now slaves of an alien race called the Minith and are slaughtered relentlessly for the slightest misconduct. Grant must fight the Minith to the very extent of his being or it might be the end of the human race.

Got this as a freebie! Seemed like an intetestingly original premise.... well, let me tell you...this storyline grabbed me by the shorthairs and wouldn't let go until I was finished. I was reading it during every break and lunch at work an
d whenever I could at home! I could just see Jean Claude VanDamme as Grant in a movie of this book! Bought the next 2 books in the series as soon as I was finished reading it!

    Excellant book suggest all three!

Just finished the third book in this series.... all three were great and i would reccomend them to anyone that likes a great story. Plenty of great military strategy and action, not a sappy love story anyplace in this set... great story with great characters with just enough sci-fi thrown to make it interesting. Look forward to more from this author!!

A winner and a great read. Highly Recommended with a hero that demands respect despite desperate odds against terrifying alien incursions

The peace for peace sake mentality which defines the society in which the main character awakens into makes me glad that we reacted to 9-11 and other threats that face the U.S.A. It gives insight to a true soldier's dedication to fixing the problem, rather than being the problem which sadly pertains to some of our leaders; ironically which face the leaders in this futuristic scenario. I definitely will read all the sequels by Stephen L. Hawk after having read and enjoyed Peace Warrior. KEEP THEM COMING AUTHOR!

    Awsome book

A great book for older kids. The book is so good that I have the book stuck in my head. I would like to let you know that there is a lot of swearing throught the exciting book. The book keeps you on you toes, as you wait for the next chunck of action to fly your way.

Interesting post-apocalyptic America. Different causes, effects and a very different ending.

    Good short read.

The message was a bit blunt at times and some of the plot lacked originality, but overall I found this to be a very enjoyable read. Most fans of sci-fi war novels should enjoy this one.

    Incredible suspence story

I was amazed at the complexity of this story... and I always love it when the author puts you IN the story, and Stephen Hawk did an amazing job of doing JUST THAT. The only reason I did not give this book five satrs, was because I personally think the language was taken a little too far. Can't wait for the next one: Peace Army

    Interesting premise!

Been reading SF since 1960...Rocket Ship Galileo...this is a new one to me. I am looking forward to the next installment, although this story is somewhat complete, you can see where a continuation would go. I have the next one and will comment on that one after completion. Good read for the cost.
