This is an excellentidea as the time spent on each rotation is short and optimal experienceis gained if core knowledge is gained quickly and then expanded. Thegoals are accomplished well in this text. The intended audience isradiology residents, but this book is also useful as an introductorytext for pediatric residents. It is a reasonably sized, practicalresource that can update the general radiologist. The author bringsconsiderable experience from his many years as a pediatric radiologistand teacher in Boston, creating a very readable and practical text. The chapter on neuroimaging is written in conjunction with the chief ofneuroradiology at The Children's Hospital in Boston. This volume hasgood quality illustrations, line drawings, and tables to supplement thetext. A separate appendix at the front of the book includes colorDoppler images. Reference lists are appropriately short and have beenupdated. The index is complete and easy to use. It is a good size forfrequent use. The book is a very good introductory text to practicalpediatric radiology and should be reviewed by all radiology residentsas they begin their rotations on pediatric radiology. It is also anexcellent update for the general radiologist. The small size makes itreadable from cover-to-cover. The author brings considerable experience from his many years as a pediatric radiologist and teacher in Boston, creating a very readable and practical text. The chapter on neuroimaging is written in conjunction with the chief of neuroradiology at The Children's Hospital in Boston.
