    =)

this was my first "novel" I ever read. 23 yeard old male here in the united states navy. I read this book when i was in the fourth grade I believe. Even after all these years I still remember it. Wether its because it was my first book or the quality of it, it has remained in my memories. I give it a couple of gold stars! =) a great first book for the young ones.

Read it for classroom book club

It was an easy read for my daughters 5th grade class. A story to learn and think of what it "could" have been like to travel with Christopher Columbus. It opened up dialogue for the kids and parents to discuss that part of history.

    It's an okay book.

On August 3, 1492 three ships went on a voyage to go to India to get spices. They left from Spain and were off to India to get the great spices and foods. Well, Pedro, a ship boy was on the Santa Maria (a large ship). He helped out and one day one of the ships, the Nina was messed up. So, he went on it to help. They were going to send a replacement but it never came.
