Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Sharon Salluzzo
An attractive cover presenting an elephant with velvety ears, a frog with a corrugated mid-section, a duck with a pink, sparkly wing, and a flower with a sparkly yellow center suggests real promise for this book. Alas, it tries to do too much on each page. There is a variety of items on each page which have no correlation to one another. For example, on the first page there is a baby in a car, a cat crying, "meow!" and three baby fish with their mother. Each item by itself is baby-and-toddler perfect but with such busy pages it will be difficult for a baby to focus. The dye-cut through all the pages will hold some surprises for toddlers. The bees' wings and the elephant tusk can easily be torn. Reviewer: Sharon Salluzzo

    Love this book!

Both my son (5 now) and daughter (3 now) LOVE this book. My daughter still chooses it when we read. I buy it as a gift for every little one!

    Colorful, Interactive, Engaging

My 21 month old loves this book. She loves when I read it to her, and she also can entertain herself by looking through/touching the pages. There is not a story line to it, but it is a great book for exploring colors, shapes, textures, etc. I think the 'Little Scholastic' series of books are wonderful for infants/toddlers!
