All Music Guide - Bob Hinkle
This story is a bit confusing, perhaps, for younger children, but well-read. The music is not very meaningful. For ages five to seven.

What a wonderful way to introduce a little mythology to kids

This is a wonderful story about Pegasus the winged horse. Mia Farrow is the narrator and you can tell she spent a lot of time raising little ones as she adopts the most perfect tone of voice and doesn't let up on the listener, just because they might be children, in regards to the drama of the piece. She reads the story with emotion and not one iota of condescension at all. Ernest Troost has written a beautiful score to accompany the tale of the winged horse and it is very dramatic as well. All in all this would make an excellent bedtime moment or going a ways to make that long car trip a little more tolerable! (You know what I mean Moms and Dads!) I highly recommend this!
