Lee's last recording for a major label resulted in MIRRORS a cabaret style grouping of art songs by Leiber & Stoller. This newly remastered disc has been sold out and out of print for 7 years now. The song list has been expanded to include 15 tracks packaged in Digipak format with a 20 page four color booklet. "Peggy Lee Sings the Songs of Leiber & Stoller" contains the kinky "Tango", the weird "The Case of M.J.", and the boozy tome of life unsung "Is That All There Is?". You won't find this disc in retail outlets or many online stores except those previously purchased and supported for sale by Amazon, Ebay and B & N.
It is an album well worth listening to. The original recording came and disappeared with little fan fare. The CD from A&M and Universal Japan, are also unavailable. The always critical Lee and Leiber & Stoller have compiled a pleasant listening experience, 3 years after Miss Lee's passing. It is worth the cost.
