Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
This comprehensive Penn State football history will not only disabuse you of any erroneous conceptions (no, Joe Paterno has not been coaching the Nittany Lions since the Ice Age); it will also provide you with a graphic chronicle of one of the most stellar franchises in college football history. Penn State Football: The Complete Illustrated History covers the team from 1887 to the present, including the team's 800-plus victories, its two national championships, and seven perfect seasons. Like other books in this MVP series, it contains profiles of key players and coaches; game and season highlights; and unforgettable photographs and other illustrations. Definitely a keeper.

    Penn State Football Nittany Lions

Bought for the son-in-law who has everything and loves the Nittany Lions. After years of buying cloth items and stuffed lions that play the Nittany Lions fight song we received a Barnes and Noble gift card from someone. We just searched the Barnes and Noble sight for Nittany Lions and were very pleased to see this book. Since it's Aug 2009 we knew he didn't have it yet. He hasn't opened it yet as his birthday is in March. Barnes and Noble gift wrap has ensured though the box is opened the gift is not opened yet. So I can't say much except when you need a gift this is good in the eye of the purchaser and my son-in-law will of course say he loves it. Just look at the cover of the book, who wouldn't love it if they love the Nittany Lions.
