Charming - highly recommend for kids 8-88!

I loved this book as a kid and recently reread it and my 8 yr old borrow it. Funny, charming, and enjoyable. I was worried that my daughter wouldn't get it since the time was before computers & cell phones but she thoroughly enjoyed it and wanted to go look for Pineapple Place (we live in suburban DC). I told her it wasn't there anymore - I looked for it myself when I was her age!

I didn't read this book but....

My friend had this book on her book shelf for years growing up, and every time I saw it i asked 'what is this book?' Now, whenever I mention the book she has no idea what I'm talking about. We have a little on-going war about this, which is hilarious. This is the book, because it's the only children's book dealing with pineapples.

    Awesome

Anne Lindberg is an awesome writer. I read her stories to my children when they were little. My oldest, now a teacher is looking to read these great books to her third grade class. All of Ms. Lindbergh's book take you on a wonderful journey.
