Katrina's Lesson in Social Media Disasters
or How Technology Can Bite You in the A**

Katrina Phillips is an expert social media manager. But that doesn't mean she can't make mistakes. Horrible, hide-in-your-closet-forever mistakes…like accidentally syncing her BootyBook app with her online profiles.

Blammo. Now everyone in the world can see who Katrina has dated and how they rated in appearance, sexual performance and (OMG) detailed descriptions of their manly parts! Now her phone is blowing up with angry exes—and an out-of-the-blue text from the only guy who came close to a perfect score….

Katrina has had a thing for Drew Jordan since forever ago, even if a booze-fuelled one-nighter did destroy their friendship. So why is he suddenly texting her now—and is it because she rated his Sexy Staff of Manliness as "magnificent?" Now the only way to satisfy her curiosity is to reunite with Drew…and rate him all over again!

4 "It was just over too quick" Stars This book was a really fun quick read and I wonder how it was not a novella due to length but I am not good with understanding the subtle differences between short stories, novellas, and novels. Despite my sadness with the book being somewhat short, I was thoroughly entertained the entire time. McCarthy does a great job drawing you in to the story. It is comical that eh heroine's performance ratings for past lovers gets mistakenly sent out to all her social media sites. With my difficulty managing my phones and misclicking buttons I can totally see how this happens. In light of the tragedy Katrina is now dealing with, it does allow her to reconnect with Drew, her one time best friend. All was great for Drew and Katrina until the friends crossed the line and slept together. After all the awkwardness that followed, a year has gone by and after reading Katrina's glowing review, Drew finally takes this opportunity to reconnect. Drew and Katrina's friends are an unexpected delight in this story. Not only are they good friends but they inject extra humor into the book. Couple that with some great sexual chemistry between our hero and heroine and the book is a winner, even if I finished it in under two hours. Of course I had to deduct a star for no Epilogue which could have given us just that little bit more we are looking for after the couple gets their HEA, and of course because I wish the book was longer. Looking forward to reading more from McCarthy. Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review

When I first read the blurb for the book I thought, "Oh my goodness, that would suck and be so embarrassing!"  My second thought was, "That's a really cool way to get someone's, or a lot of someone's attentions. Especially when you haven't seen them in a while."  Of course the book is also written by Erin McCarthy, an author whose books I've enjoyed before so I was quite eager to read it. While I liked Katrina and Drew, something about the story failed to click with me.  I read it quickly which was good, but something still felt missing.  I liked how quickly Katrina and Drew reconnected and I got they still had chemistry, but it felt like they fell in bed first instead of figuring out how things went wrong between them. I liked the concept and the characters.  It's written well but I just didn't get sucked into it like I expected.  I'm still a fan of Erin McCarthy's writing and look forward to her next book.

Perfect 10 is a great example of what horrible things can happen in today’s world of technology.  It’s totally embarrassing and easy to imagine actually happening to anyone.  Well, except most of us probably don’t have an app like BootyBook, but the idea is the same. Perfect 10 is a cautionary tale for today’s plugged in world, but it’s also a sweet romance, with just that perfect touch of spice. Full review available at Romantic Reads and Such on Wordpress

Perfect 10 was short and sexy! I'll be honest, I've read books that have a similar storyline, but I still enjoyed this one all the same. Plus, McCarthy is a favorite author of mine, so I couldn't miss out! What worked for me:  I love the friends to lovers trope, so right there, I was hooked. I also liked the characters. Katrina and her best friend Samantha have great dialogue and it reminded me of the way I talk to my friends. Then, there was sexy Drew. Drew was great. I felt like I could totally picture him. Well, ok...I got stuck on the kilt, but anyway...I adored him.  What didn't work for me: I felt like there were a few minor inconsistencies, but it really didn't affect the likability of the story for me. But, I did have to read back through a few parts to get some clarity.  The sex: The steam level was good. I was fully involved in the sex scenes. But, what won me over there was the fact that they really had true feelings for each other, so it was really more than just sex.   Overall, I enjoyed it. I was looking for a fast sexy read and this fit the bill. As the summer approaches, I think this would be the perfect beach or poolside read. It's fun, sexy and a bit flirty. Enjoy it! Quotes: ~Seeing him, his head bent over as he rinsed glassware, made her realize how much she had missed him. Her heart squeezed.  Then she saw he was wearing a kilt, his muscular calves showing, and it was her vagina doing the squeezing.-Loc 141 ~"I was waiting for something." "What's that?" He gave her a little smile. "You." Oh, no he didn't. She felt everything in her sigh in a bug heartfelt girl gush of emotion. She was so going down on him for that.-Loc 336 ~"I didn't mean to say thanks for rubbing one out! It just appeared out of nowhere, like ninja words. I guess it was stress or something. It was all so overwhelming." "Having a guy go down on you is overwhelming? If it's too much for you, I'll happily take your life."-Loc 424 ~"I can get my own stable of men who shag me and don't call for three weeks, thank you very much. It doesn't require voodoo, just a vagina." "You should copyright that-it's beautiful."-Loc 451 ~"I had always had a crush on Drew. I have always cared about him. But last night, I fell in love with him."-Loc 950
