Overview

Perfect drinking, be it wine, beer, liquor, water, coffee or tea, brings about health benefits, tastes good and helps to enjoy life more. Health benefits are greater and health risks lower than is generally believed. This book will tell how to protect yourself from the enemies of perfect drinking. You'll find out how to monitor and adjust your drinking, avoid blame, moral panic and alcoholism. Alcoholism is a complex problem of the excessive quest for enjoyment but it can be defeated. The greatest part of all alcohol-related disease and death are due to alcoholics, not due to other drinkers. Alcoholics are resistant to both price increases and restrictions to the supply of alcoholic beverages. Nevertheless, the dominant total consumption model tells us to favor these measures. This misses the point, leading to unnecessary cost and inconvenience for moderate drinkers.
