This book really should be in everyone's home library. It impressed me with its neatly organized, to-the-point information. Normally with a health book you read a long, drawn-out paragraphs. But here the authors keep it very focused, giving exactly the research that is needed for you to take action with your diet. And they're good at explaining the science behind things. Plus, I like how they have a concluding paragraph for each topic that gives you their final say--it's a very helpful recap for each section. I was iffy about getting this book because too many books about diets turn out to be fads and not based on concrete science. But this is not a typical diet book. It's a way of lifelong eating to become and stay healthy.
I have read this book and subsequently purchased a copies for friends and my doctor. It is very good at laying out in simply understood language the importance of evolution when laying out what the human body is really designed to eat. Read it if you have medical issues common to the western diet, try the diet. If you don't have medical issues, read it in hopes of preventing disease that have become commonplace and excepted as the norm of aging.
