    Read in One Afternoon

    I read Perfect Partners by Carly Phillips in one afternoon. Perfect Partners was a heart-warming romance story between Chelsie Russell and Griffin Stuart. While they know each other through family ties, the story begins in the courtroom where they are fighting over custody of their niece Alix. Chelsie and Griffin both lost their siblings, which left Alix without guardians. After Griffin wins custody of Alix, Chelsie and Griffin bond over the little girl. Griffin asks Chelsie for help with caring for Alix as she is having trouble adjusting to her parents not being around and being in a new living situation. As they spend more time together, Chelsie and Griff become closer as friends and then as lovers.

    Two people who are related through marriage are forced to work together to tackle parenthood. They work together to take care of their niece, all the while juggling their busy schedules as lawyers.

    Both Chelsie and Griff come from rough childhoods and backgrounds. Chelsie isn't close with her parents and she eventually pulled away from her sister. She was also married to a man who abused her and left her emotional scarred and unable to have a baby. When Griff was 12 years old, his mother walked out on the family wanting more material things. His father was working full time and having a hard time adjusting to being a single father. In turn, Griff took over to help raise his younger brother. Griff's last girlfriend left him because she wanted the material things just like his mother left him.

    With Chelsie's abusive background and Griff's background with the women in his life leaving him, they both had issues with the opposite sex. Chelsie and Griff discover their love and devotion for each other and their niece. Could their love make the instant family they both want?

    I loved reading Perfect Partners. It's about two very different people who happen to be in the same profession and make it work for their niece. Two people who work together to make a steady home for the little girl that captured their hearts.

    Awesome! Definetly a must read!

    Loved this book. It was exactly the right mix of saddenes and heartbreaking romance, with a mix of unwanted and forbidden love.

    Great book

    When I started reading this book I wasnt sure that I really liked it. But then as I got rather in the book it got more and more interesting, there was some nights it was hard putting it down until the next day. This was a great book and I would suggest it to anyone, bc is shows how defficult life can be.

    This is the first book I've read by this author and I am very impressed with her writing style and development of a meaningful and very well written story. I will definitely be looking for more books by this author and will archive this book for future reading enjoyment again. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a love story that actually has some depth and has characters who are intelligent, considerate and who think deeply and rationally about their lives and decisions.

    Idea was good

    ## UGH...I'm a little mad i wasted so much time on this book. The idea of the story was good. But i couldn't get past the "hero" (wait, male lead is better). He was awful. Throughout the whole story he was mistrustful and suspicious. I kept thinking it would get better, but it didn't. And why would the heroine take him back after all the hurtful things he said and all the suffering he put her through. Even in the final chapter he was still letting her suffer. Not every book needs a HEA, she should have kicked this guy to the curb!

    Great read

    Chelsie and Griff's story is full of emotions. They both have so much baggage to deal with as they both try to do what is best for their neice Alix while they grapple with their growing feelings for each other. Great love story and well worth a few hours of your time.

    Im confused

    So r they siblings? How did they both lose their siblings in a car crash. How do they have the same niece and be in love? I aint buying this book until i get answers from yall. :)
