Overview

Charlie is in his early 20s and has been campaigning for civil rights for those who have been genetically modified, curing hereditary conditions. His experiences have driven him to a life of organised crime because being genetically perfect he cannot use his talents legitimately. Unlike most criminals his motivation is to benefit others. He is trafficking people out of the country to safety.

Into Charlie’s life comes Pandora, a young woman fresh from the same children’s home Charlie grew up in. Initially there is distrust, and a spark of something else...

Pandora is one of the many Hephaestus children, a product of their genetic research. She was born to a surrogate mother and raised in the care of Hephaestus in a children’s home in Cambridge full of other Hephaestus children. Until the scandal broke she was totally unaware that she was different from any other child. Being declared legally an adult she was left to fend for herself in a shared house in Cambridge.

This is a tale of intrigue and a journey of self discovery for Pandora.

This is the first novella in the Exodus series, and it is continued in Imperfect (Exodus #2).

An intriguing near future tale where a rogue company has genetic

An intriguing near future tale where a rogue company has genetically modified thousands of people in the guise of medical treatment. Worse still it has created babies illegally. Charlie, the main character is one of those babies and finds himself in a world where no-one wants him. This is a thriller showing how he gets involved in hiding others like him and making an effort to escape from the discrimination. Unfortunately for him he ends up on the wrong side of the law...
