Editorial Reviews

John Grant
E.C. McMullen Jr's "Some People"... may be the standout story in the book. Its conceit is that the krakens exist, and that their reproductive cycle involves the parasitic use of host bodies... The details of the (kraken) sex scenes in the story are as emetic in affect as you can imagine, yet McMullen manages to convey that, while nauseating to us, these events are nevertheless pretty all-fired erotic to their participants.

This is more than you would expect from an unknown author. This is definitely worth the three bucks and you can say you were into his books before he got famous. If you are a Sci-Fi fan who is always looking for new stuff, this is a must read.

This is definitely old school Sci-Fi like we have not seen in a while. You can really see the influences of the authors mentioned in the dedication. I also felt some Stephen King influences in "Rot Yer World", like an early King short story.

I really liked "Some People", decadently visceral in more ways than one. I could go on about each story but let's not so you can be surprised. Worth the time and money!!!
