K-3-Perrier is a precious pink dwarf pig who belongs to the famous Beverly Hills movie star Marbella. He is pampered, spoiled, and carried around everywhere in Marbella's designer purse but feels something is not right. One day, Marbella packs up the car and moves them to the country. Perrier loves the country and discovers new smells, a farm with other pigs, and mud. When he returns to Marbella after a romp, she faints and makes him promise he will never escape again. In a few days, they are off to make a movie in Paris, then they play at a beach on the Riviera, and finally return to their mansion in California. All the while, Perrier just longs to return to the mud. He becomes ill and pale, and Marbella takes him to the vet, but to no avail. One night Marbella gets up to console him and Perrier finds her face covered with a fine layer of mud. From then on, every night Perrier gets a mud mask along with Marbella, and his good health returns. For his birthday, Marbella takes the two of them for a mud bath at the Palm Springs Resort. This fun book is illustrated with pen and ink pictures with a minimum of color in a style typical b&w pictures from the 1950s that were touched up with color afterward. Children will love this adorable little pig.
