This book has an amazing amount of useful and inspiring information about leadership. The book takes the creative approach of combining a framework for leadership with profiles of real-life leaders who apply the framework on a day-to-day basis. It is very useful to have the nuts and bolts of leadership and real-life examples together in one easy to read book. The writing style is engaging, mixing humor and insight. The author tells us what effective leaders do at work, at home, or any other place. He hones in on the values, beliefs, and personality that are found in leaders, making a distinction between constructive leaders and destructive leaders. The profiles of leaders are quite varied. They include a CEO of a Fortune 100 business, two startup entrepreneurs, a school principal, a college coach, and a military commander. In the lives of each of these people we see the same basic leadership principles being applied. Adding to the book¿s appeal is the way the author has embedded the process of reflection. The author says that reflection is an essential leadership skill. He demonstrates this skill by asking readers to reflect on each chapter. A set of questions is provided at the end of each chapter that had me thinking about the content and what I was learning about leadership.
