When I bought this book, I was expecting just a hard cover book with words, it was a surprise when I opened the book to find it was in comic style. I enjoyed reading "The Last Unicorn" in this fashion, reminded me of the movie that aired in the late 1980's/ early 1990'sWas this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. The Last Unicorn By: Peter S. Beagle was very exotic because the unicorn is trying to find its own kind but its evil foe The Red Bull drove all the unicorns into the sea. I give this a five star rating and a thumbs¿ up!
The book started out with two men hunting and one of the men told the other that there was no game and the seasons did not change because the unicorn lived there. So then the two men left and the other man said quietly to the unicorn not knowing if it herd him or not to stay in the wood because there is no place in the world for a unicorn. The suspense was terrific it made me want to read more especially when the unicorn let the other animals out of their cages like the harpy. The characters are the unicorn, the magician Schmendrick, and Molly Grue but the main character is the unicorn. The author did an excellent job on this book I think he should make a part two and I do not like this book I Love it!
